IDK Labs, Inc. d/b/a Resource (“Resource”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides recruiting software and services through or any successor or subdomains (collectively, the “Service”). We understand that privacy is important to both our online visitors and registered users. We take privacy issues very seriously and we are fully committed to ensuring security of information.

Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy will have the meaning set forth in the Resource Terms of Service.

1. Definitions

1.1. "Personal Information" will refer to any data collected from you that may allow yourself to be identified. These may include without limitations your name, phone number, email address, physical address and any other non-personal information.

1.2. "Non-Personal Information" will refer to any information that is not directly linked to your Personal Information and that, standing alone, does not allow for the identification of your individual person.

1.2. "Information" will refer to "Personal Information" and "Non-Personal Information," collectively.

2. Information we collect

2.1. When you register with Resource (including our log-in via the Gmail OAuth function), we may collect Personal Information from you such as your first and last name, location, phone number, gender, e-mail and mailing addresses, professional title, company name, employment history, education history, personal summary, and password. If you provide your Gmail account credentials to us or otherwise sign in to the Service through a third party site or service, you understand some Content (as defined below) and/or Information in those accounts (“Third Party Account Information”) may be transmitted into your Resource account, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted to our Services is covered by this Privacy Policy. For example, Resource may securely access or store your name, your Gmail email address, your Gmail emails and other conversations, and your Gmail contact list (including any public images attached to contacts in the list).

2.2.From the moment of registration with Resource, we may monitor your activity on the Service and store your Information in our database. This Information will also include any communication and interaction that you might have with other users (and non-users) of the Service (including, for example, candidates).

2.3.We may also collect any pieces of information (including but not limited to text, images, video or audio) that are uploaded, transmitted, submitted or shared with or through the Service (“Content”). This includes, without limitations, text, images, photographs, messages, comments or any other kind of content that is not your email address. All Content and Information that you will decide to make publicly available may be visible to other users of the Service.

2.4.We will also collect other types of Personal Information that you provide to us voluntarily, such as your operating system and version, product registration number, and other requested information if you contact us via email regarding support for the Service.

2.5.In the event that you decide to register with Resource through one of the SNS that we support (i.e. Google, Facebook or LinkedIn), we will receive some Personal Information in accordance with your privacy settings with the SNS. In addition, upon registering we may ask for certain permissions and authorizations in order to allow you to perform certain functions offered by the Service. These permissions and authorizations allow the Service to, for example, compose and modify emails, read emails and pull relevant information to build candidate profiles, and access contact info to send emails to candidates.

2.6.Our servers will also collect other Non-Personal Information from you such as your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol ("IP""), domain name, and a date / time stamp for your visit.

2.7.If you decide to refer a third party, we will collect the third party’s name and email address in order to follow up with the third party.

3. Cookies

The Service uses "cookies" to maximize the efficiency of your experience online. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web page server. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer and can be read only by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. A cookie informs the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. It ensures that your experience is personalized and that certain pieces of data are retained in order to make your experience as personalized and efficient as possible. For avoidance of doubt, "Non-Personal Information" will refer to any data received through the use of cookies.

4. How we use your Information

4.1. We will use the Information that we collect from you in order to provide you with the service requested and aid us in serving you best. In particular, your Information will be used, without limitation, to

  • 4.1.2. process any profile update;
  • 4.1.3. improve and enhance the quality, functionality and administration of the Service, and develop new functions, features and services;
  • 4.1.4. reach out to you during your use of the Service;
  • 4.1.5. send newsletters, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials related to our Service and for other marketing purposes.
  • 4.2. We may also, upon receiving your consent, publish feedbacks and testimonials that we may receive from you.

    5. How we disclose and protect your Information

    5.1. We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any Personal Information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

    5.2. If our business is sold or integrated with another business, your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business.

    5.3. If you choose to post content on SNSs through our Service, we will provide information to such SNSs in accordance with your settings. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your use of those websites and that it is your responsibility to review the terms of use and privacy policy of the third party provider of such SNSs

    5.4. We are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. Although no security system is impenetrable, we use several industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

    5.5. No information is 100% secure over the Internet, thus we encourage you to never disclose or share your username and password, and to contact us immediately if you think that your account has been compromised.

    6. Links to other websites

    The Service may contain links to third party websites. When you leave the Service and go to another site, another entity may collect Information or from you. We have no control over, do not review, and cannot be responsible for, these outside websites or their content. Please be aware that this Privacy Policy does not apply to these outside websites.

    7. Important Notices to Non-U.S. Residents

    The Service and its servers are operated in the United States and elsewhere. Please be aware that your Information, including your Personal Information, may be transferred to, processed, maintained, and used on computers, servers, and systems located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to use the Service, you hereby irrevocably and unconditionally consent to such transfer, processing, and use in the United States and elsewhere.

    We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 through the Service. If you are under 13, please do not give us any Personal Information. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Information through the Service without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes here and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for example, email notification of privacy policy changes). This version was last updated on May 2, 2017. Please be aware that continued use of the Service implies your full acknowledgment of this Privacy Policy.
